In the past few years, several Las Vegas resort hotels began to differentiate their hotels in an increasingly competitive market--particularly for those that cater to business travelers. One of their best strategies to encourage repeat business came from upgrading and supplementing their services and ammentites targeted at these travelers. These hotels wanted to elevate their level of service, but it was imparitive to NOT decrease any operational efficiency. One issue that came up was that there was no easy way to deliver information to guests, without hand delivering menus and schedules. To address this issue, the hotels needed a way to push information, as an instant message of sorts, to all designated guests, on demand.

-Print final folio
-Local printing from laptops via USB
-Smart card printing
-Color copying/printing
-Scanning documents direct to a computer
All of which helped to increase the level of personalized conveniece for each guest. In-room checkouts increased by approximately 30%, employee labor required to hand deliver messages was no longer needed, sending instant personalized messaging of last minute program changes also could be done effortlessly, and it also provided guests with the added convenience of printing their photographs directly in their rooms. Hotels realized an increase in operational efficiency, reduced their labor hard costs, increased profits from the in-room printing revenue stream, and drove business to other areas of the hotel by providing an offer or ad for shows and restaurants.
