Network Switches and Hubs
Expanding wired and wireless office networks require the use of network switches and hubs for effective connection and information sharing within the system or on the Internet.
A network switch filters and diverts the data packets towards the intended ports. Network switches keep media access control addresses of all devices that are connected to it; therefore it does not copy a packet nor rebroadcast it for the whole network. Rather, the switch sends the data packet to the exact port where it is meant to be sent.
A network hub, on the other hand, is the central distributor and common area for all data in the network. When packets of data arrive at a hub, the hub copies the packets to all connected local area networks (LANs) or computers so that all connected devices can access the packets. The computers or LANs share the same bandwidth, as do other devices that are connected through the hub.
We have a wide selection of reliable network switches and hubs at great prices. To ensure the quality of these switches and hubs, we offer products only from trusted brands such as Cisco, HP, Brocade Communications, Entrasys Networks, and Allied Telesyn.
